Callbook is a simple, light and portable software (usable without installation) through which is possible checking in real time different info about stations and locator:
- the locator of a radio station
- the group of radio stations in the same locator
- the group of radio station in the same "major" square with the SAME beaming and distance informations (for trying many times without turning antenna)

With Callbook is also possible from an .EDI file after contesting checking in an istant if you have missed a few locator's character. A report will alert you if it is all right or if there are errors (with also specific informations about). The most important thing to get the maximum benefit from the software It is to have a complete database and error-free where the software will compare your logs! Take care of your database by means of specific controls necessary only once! Callbook has a specific function for IMPORT and improve your database from the same EDI file that you use after contesting for sending LOG file. Just copy the listing of .EDI file in the specific text box to control the EDi file or to implement the database with the only new records that may be present. To get the highest possible speed the database file is a simple text file automatically created in the same directory of Callbook (called callbook.txt).

Callbook e' un software portable (senza necessita' di alcuna installazione) attraverso il quale e' possibile controllare in tempo reale diverse cose riguardo le stazioni e i locatori:
- il locatore di una stazione radio
- il gruppo di stazioni radio presenti in quello stesso locatore
- il gruppo di stazioni radio presenti nello stesso "major" square che condividono lo stesso puntamento (utile per tentare tutti i collegamenti senza girare l'antenna)

Con Callbook e' anche possibile dopo un contest controllare un file .EDI in un istante alla ricerca di errori di locatore (basta un solo carattere sbagliato). Un report verra' generato sia nel caso di assenza di errori sia nel caso fossero presenti degli errori o delle cose da controllare (con le informazioni spefifiche del collegamento in questione). La cosa più importante per avere il massimo vantaggio da Callbook e' avere un database vasto e privo di errori dove il software potra' confrontare i vostri log! Abbiate cura del vostro database attraverso dei controlli specifici, e' necessario una sola volta! Callbook ha anche una specifica funzione per importare e implementare il proprio database dagli stessi file EDI utilizzati per inviare i LOG dopo i contest. Basterà copiare il listato del file .EDI nella casella di testo specifica per controllare l'EDI o per implementare il database con i soli nuovi record eventualmente presenti. Per ottenere la massima velocita' possibile il file di database e' un semplice file di testo creato automaticamente nella stessa cartella di Callbook (chiamato callbook.txt).

Per ottimizzare il nostro database potremmo unire tutti i nostri singoli database in un unico database controllato e senza errori.
Se mi invierai il tuo singolo database per email (basta il file callbook.txt) lo uniro' in quello collettivo e ti inviero' subito dopo la versione complessiva.
Per iniziare e testare le potenzialita' di Callbook, e' possibile usare un database con circa 1.350 record controllati e verificati provenienti dai siti ufficiali e dai log di alcuni amici. Semplicemente aggiungere il file callbook.txt nella stessa cartella di callbook.exe
